What is the definition of fan life?

SANYO DENKI defines the life of a fan as the point at which its rotational speed decreases to 70% or less of its initial value.

The expected life of our fans is specified under the following conditions:

•  L10 Life (90% Survival Rate)
•  Ambient temperature: 60°C (85°C for Wide Temperature Range Fans)
•  Rated voltage
•  Continuous Operation
•  Free-air conditions
