Precautions for Using SANUPS Products

- If you intend to use a SANUPS product in any of the applications listed below, special consideration is required for operation, maintenance, and management, such as system redundancy and the installation of emergency power generation equipment. Please consult SANYO DENKI in advance.
Applications requiring prior consultation
(a) Medical equipment and other systems directly related to human life.
(b) Trains, elevators, and other systems that may result in personal injury if a
failure occurs.
(c) Socially or publicly important computer systems.
(d) Other systems that significantly affect human safety or the maintenance of
public functions.
- Please consult SANYO DENKI before using the product in environments subject to vibration, such as vehicles, ships, or transportation equipment.
- Do not modify or alter the product.
- For installation and maintenance work, please consult your point of purchase or a qualified service provider.
- For disposal of used storage batteries supplied by SANYO DENKI, please contact SANYO DENKI.
- Our products are classified as goods listed under Category 16 of Appended Table 1 of Japan's Export Trade Control Order. If you export these products, incorporate them into other products for export, or export them together with other goods, we recommend that you carry out the necessary security export control procedures with the relevant authorities, including consideration of the "Informed Requirement" and the "Objective Requirement."
- SANYO DENKI shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the product or services, including but not limited to loss of equipment availability, loss of revenue from power sales, business interruption, increased electricity purchase costs, or other losses.
- Products equipped with lithium-ion batteries may not be transportable by air. When transporting such products by sea, transportation must comply with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. In addition, some countries or regions may have their own regulations. Please consult your carrier in advance.
- Using products designed for the Japanese market outside Japan may cause smoke emission or fire due to differences in voltage and operating environments. Please consult SANYO DENKI if you intend to use these products outside Japan.
- Please consult SANYO DENKI before using our power conditioners in residential applications (locations where people live their daily lives).
Fire Service Act and Local Fire Prevention Ordinances - When installing battery systems (including lithium-ion batteries), local fire prevention ordinances established by municipalities apply. Battery systems with a capacity exceeding 20 kWh must be reported to the relevant fire department. When multiple battery systems are installed in the same room, the total battery capacity is calculated as the sum of all installed battery systems.

Applicability of Safety Standards and Fire Department Notification Requirements

- SANUPS products cannot be used as emergency power sources for fire protection equipment specified under the Fire Service Act.
Building Standards Act - SANUPS products cannot be used as backup power sources for building equipment that serves as disaster prevention facilities under the Building Standards Act.
